Sia Albandi Designs began with bedding that carried the Mediterranean into the bedroom: the idea that you don’t need to be on holiday to feel the sea. The mirrors extend the same idea into a new object, each one built by hand from what the coastline and the studio leave behind.

One stroke of cobalt gouache
Every pattern begins with a single unplanned stroke of gouache, painted outdoors on her terrace. She mirrors it, turns it and repeats it until it becomes a spiral, a wave or a medallion.

300TC Long-Staple Sateen
Long-staple cotton sateen with a silky finish, breathable and temperature-regulating for warm Mediterranean nights. Certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, made in Greece and Italy.

Pique-assiette mosaic
Broken porcelain, sea glass, mother-of-pearl and hand-gathered shell, set by hand shard by shard. Every mirror is one of one; no two are ever the same.
